Filing taxes is difficult by design

As we near tax season, my stress levels are increasing. I hear the same from many others in my community. I often hear people say “I am not good with numbers” or “I can’t understand taxes. They are too confusing.” So many of these statements are I-statements: people tend to find fault with themselves and blame themselves for feeling like they cannot navigate the tax process.
